Monday, May 4th, Mars and Jupiter friction
Mars, the energy of growth, doing, action, quickness, meeting Jupiter, the energy of expansion, growth, excess, and optimism. These two are squaring up and creating a lot of friction between these two energies; it’s a friction movement towards growth, towards doing (Mars), but doing big (Jupiter)
This week, I want you to be mindful of the following:
Going BIG at work before having all the information, details, or having done the necessary planning. Taking on more projects than you can handle; there is risk here of overselling yourself, so be chill and drink some water.
Spending. Watch out for any impulsive feeling to buy or invest. Pause and check back with yourself next week.
Mars-Jupiter squares can make people louder, more opinionated, and quicker to argue; it can also look like someone finally saying what they've been too afraid to say.
Tuesday, May 5, Mercury and Pluto Friction (squares, again)
Another bumpy day with these squares. Mercury is a chatty, airy energy that’s big on communications, all the comms. Pluto might be small, but it’s a very powerful planet that wants to strip down, control, and sometimes conceal. This square puts those two impulses in conflict.
So how might this moment show up:
Convos might feel loaded, weighty. It might be hard to read the room. Be aware of silences; these are meaningful; what is not said during this time is just as important.
In relationships, you may feel this need bubbling up to know everything; there might be an instinct toward control, take a beat. Breathe in and breathe out with me, give yourself a pause, and ask yourself, what is the need for control about?
Saturday, May 9, flowy Venus and Moon
Finally, we get a beautiful break from the squares on Saturday. Moon and Venus are in harmony this day. The vibes are soft and open, there’s support to cultivate some warmth, pleasure and connection.
How it shows up practically:
A beautiful day for connection with friends and lovers; conversations feel easy, affectionate, and genuine. It's a good time to have a difficult conversation you've been putting off, because the emotional climate is forgiving. People are more receptive, less defensive.
Creatively, you might be feeling productive; under the signature of these energies, there tends to be access to natural warmth and authenticity.
Venus also rules material pleasure; there can be an easy indulgence in good food, beautiful surroundings, and small, lovely things. Not reckless, the way Mars-Jupiter was, more like treating yourself gently.
